The CHRISTMAS PROJECT:

Giving presents to homeless
and/or orphaned children!


 My Dear Partners,

Did you know—over 100,000 children are orphaned in Ukraine.

  • Each year many orphans between 15-18 leave the orphanages.
  • About 10% will commit suicide after leaving before their eighteenth B-day.
  • 60% of the girls end up in prostitution.
  • 70% of the boys in crime.
  • Only 27% of these youths will find work

As followers of Christ we can help… “Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless, maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.  Rescue the weak and needy, deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”  - Psalms 82:3-4
 

I am partnering with “The Father’s House”– an orphanage just outside of Kiev—in a project to give gifts worth $20 to each child this Christmas.  Your $20 gift will buy toys, hygiene products, hats, and other necessities- (given directly to kid)

We have three options or goals:

1.      Raise enough money for 70 Christian Children in The Father’s House, near Kiev.

2.      Raise enough money for the 200 Children in the State run Orphanage and have the open door to preach the Gospel to them.

3.      Raise enough money for 300 homeless children in Kiev for a Christmas miracle!

I know the time is short—but hey, I just got here.  I don’t wish to stress you out as supporters—but times are tough for Children around the world...and I thought you might want to help in bringing so much hope, joy, and the Gospel to these kids in Kiev this Christmas.

           The amount of money raised will determine the project.  And if we raised enough for 570 kids to get $20 worth of gifts–we can do all three—the sky is the limit.  However, the first goal is the 70 kids that are currently in “The Father’s House”—that goal amount is $1,400.  If we get there...I believe God and those kids would be smilingJ 

           The State run orphanage has 200 children in poorer conditions and giving them gifts would open the door to preach the Gospel to them-that project would cost $4,000.

           Lastly, the “Christmas Miracle” project would be to bus the homeless children to a place for a hot meal, skits, and a presentation of the Gospel.  “The Father’s House” did a project like this last year—with great success—I would like us to provide the gifts-Lord willing–the gifts would cost $6,000

           If every family/person receiving this letter gave a one time $20 gift for a kid—we would have enough for the first 2 Projects!  Please consider another kid outside your family this Christmas– all donations go Directly to kids!
