Greetings in Jesus our Lord!

This is IT—THE MONTH I MOVE TO UKRAINE!!! Thank you again for your part—because of you, a missionary has been SENT! We all have a part in the body of Christ and it is so wonderful to know that HIS BODY is still making a difference in this world.

This “sending part” of the mission has not been without its difficulties, trials, and even set backs. There have been times where I’ve questioned God, the vision, and even the “wisdom” of moving in times like these. However, even though the signs of the times are ever increasingly apocalyptic, it only gives me that much more drive to win souls and advance the Kingdom of God! What if we truly are in the 11th hour??? Pray for the safety of missionaries and our solders this month!

The BBQ Party was a Success…
I was delighted to have between 30-40 people come out to my place on Saturday, Sept. 17th. I wish more of you could have made it—besides the flies—everything was wonderful. Thanks SO MUCH for those who braved the high gas prices to drive out into the wilderness...where my home is...and celebrate the joy of Christian fellowship.

Really, Christians do have the most fun—we don’t have to get stung out and stressed out just to enjoy each other!

What does the next 6 months look like?
My plane ticket is round trip...actually. I fly back in April—I have many things to do at that time—such as officiate my brother wedding, taxes, updating churches, and redoing my Lasek surgery on my eyes. (yes, I had it done in September, but it didn’t fully correct my eyes—so I have to do it all over again in 6-8 months).

Once in Ukraine I will...
First—
pray, rent an apartment and settle in.
Second—start learning Russian.
Third—start contacting churches and other missionaries that I will be helping out—such as Vision International (teaching Bible courses), Kiev Symphony (helping widows), and Orphans Hope (working with Orphans, etc).
Fourth—take a short trip to Budapest, Hungry in December to get a 1-5 year visa so that I can live in Ukraine more than 90 days.
Fifth—make friends and witness!!!

As you know, since January 2005, I have been “friend/fund raising” for my move to full-time ministry in Ukraine. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT—I pray that Jesus blesses you more than you can ask or even think for your faithfulness and support. Here is the financial report so far…

Moving Expenses: around $11,200
Goal: $10,000
Monthly Support Raised: between—$1,900-$2100
Goal: $2,000 in monthly support
Plane Ticket booked: October 18, 2005
Arriving in Kiev October 19th at 2:45pm.

How do missionary finances work?

First, I can’t accurately project what monthly support will be—because some people give when they can (they may skip a month and give more the next) - and some people have told me they will give between certain dollar amounts. Others—who are included in this monthly projection have only verbally told me they would support—THANKS FOR STARTING THIS MONTH—if that be the case.

Next, my goal are minimums—I budgeted just to survive in Ukraine—there is no “retirement funds” or much petty funds. Therefore, passing my goals is ideal and GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANKS!
