Hey there...just when you think..."It is great to back to Kiev" - that's when your landlord comes in and asks for double rent, and after 3 hours of back and forth, and tons of illustrations and too much of a headache...rent landed at the $410 a month up from $280 - for an apartment that had not even a toilet seat, blinds, kicthen cupboards, or shower curtin/bathroom sink...basically a bare house...for $410 a month...does that make sense...I suppose in some ex-soviet kind of way it all begins to make sense...capitalism doesn't work here for Richard:) ha...
OK - will update more with pictures...oh, and no car...still...keep a praying.

I did arrive safe, with all luggage and I actually had pretty good flights, meet some interesting people and spent about 3 hours witnessing to a Ukrainian woman this morning...well, she knows the gospel now...pray for her because her mind gets confused she said, her name is Oksana.
Also, the car - nothing new, nothing done on it, they said, wait until Wednesday, then Thursday, then Friday and now Monday, of course...sweet...keep praying I can get it done, I have no car to drive, even though I own it:(

+ 9 - 13 | § ¶the Car update
I regret to tell you that I still do not have the car registered. In fact, I heard the famous Pavel Line again, "next week". He will even say days, like Next Monday, Next Thursday, Next Tuesday...I have heard it countless times, I would actually say, I have heard it every week since early September 2006. So, this Next Tuesday, is today, December 12th, 2006. The Bible was so right about when it describes an unfaithful person like a broken foot or a cavity. It's a real PAIN! Anyway, I have another friend working on it now - and hope that something can be done. Offering money hasn't helped...which is an additional pain. Can't I just pay to get my car registered? Isn't there some kind of actual process...
Anyway - please continue your prayers - as this Tuesday in another imporant day. I arrive in Kiev on Friday morning. Would LOVE to drive my car. So, that's the update...have a good one. I hope to email you all when I arrive safely in Kiev. Please pray for the flight and luggage and all those kids and projects this winter season!
PS - however, they tell me, my car is only in mild-danger of the police...but the police are still asking for the papers!
