+ 2 - 1 | § ¶Pastor Sunday's Celebration Service 10-1-2006
As many of you know...
Pastor Sunday, from God Embassy is the largest church in Europe. John Dieter and I went to his conference all were...Monday-Saturday. On Saturday, John acutally gave his testimony to about 6,000 people. But, on this particular Sunday...there were around 15,000 people in attendance as we celebrated the day of 45 years that Nigeria has been an independant nation. The Nigerian Ambassador was there...and you will see him on stage recieving an award for all his hard work bringing Ukraine and Nigeria closer together. Pastor Sunday and his Wife also recieved an award from him on behalf of his work here. Anyway, it was a 5 hour service, typicial Nigerian service I might add, and there was a time when Pastor Sunday asked all people who made or will make a committment to a pure life before marriage to come to the stage...so there is a crowd up there, which is awesome, John even went up:) Anyway...it was sweet...hope you enjoy the pictures - and experience a God-filled life...as Ukraine is pressing on. You know, the amazing thing is how counter-culture Pastor Sunday's church is...with purity, standards, and long service...because Ukraine is the #1 place for AIDS in Europe...so, Thank God for the "God Embassy Church" - you can't even hold hands or kiss until you are engaged! Nice...
Pastor Sunday is in the Green Suit!

My friends...
We meet for English club this Saturday...from about 3pm...until 6 pm...but some stayed until 8pm. Anyway, Sveta...who knows both English, Russian, and Ukrainian perfectly...is the teacher for the lesson...and I am there to help with any extra spelling...and how to pronounce sometimes, etc. Anyway, we did introductions - have lots of coffee...treats, American Apple Crisp, and fruit. We taught about different foods in English - spelling and speaking...and then, I told them my Biblical truth for the week...that I wanted them to learn in English. There was some explaination to it, but my phrase for the day was, "With God all things are possible!" Man...I have been thinking about that since...and it really is good to dwell on it. Anyway, I forgot to take pictures during the lesson and food...but afterwards I have them playing with my computers, calling the USA on my phone...and hanging out. All in all...it was a great time - more want to come, and whenever I talk about it...many people are interested. So...hold on...it's going to be a wild ride. And it was a lot of fun...they even told me NOT to practice my Russian on them...that was "nice" for a change:):)
enjoy...I have more pictures...just click on the "more" down in the left hand corner.
This first picture is of Sveta...the teacher!

Well...what are friends for???
They are to have fun with, chat with, hang out with...oh and to point out that my floor is dirty! Raya...although I mopped my floor before everyone came that evening...some how found a way to pick up lots of dirt. I do provide slippers...as is customary, since no one has carpet on their floors in Ukraine and one cannot walk with their shoes on in the house...however, some don't like to use slippers...so...hense...I am not responsible for their socks, right??? Legally...no:) You can see my facial response to her noting my personal...floor uncleaness!
